Training Academy

The Midlands first International Hair Extension Academy, located in Barnt Green, Birmingham is now up and running. The Michelle Griffin Academy is a unique facility, based upon Michelle's International reputation and unequalled extensions expertise.

The academy offers professional, independent advice to hair extension service providers whether large or small, experienced or beginners.

What are you hoping to provide at the acedemy that's different?

MG I have this dream of offering a complete service for extension salons and manufacturers in the UK and internationally. Having trained and seen so many different operations over the years, I know what salons need. My academy will offer professional, independent advice to hair extension service providers whether large or small, experienced or beginners.

How is your knowledge of extensions unique?

MG My aim is to provide clear-sighted, hands-on advice and practical solutions on every aspect of the hair extension business as a salon and academy owner: from pricing to supplier issues, through to staff training, creative design and cutting, enabling salons and manufacturers to maximise the profit potential of extensions. I put it in a way that other hairdressers can relate to and understand.

Why are extensions a difficult service for salons to get right?

MG With over a quarter of all hair extension service providers closing and not meeting expected targets due to lack of extension expertise and/or failing to meet training criteria, the academy offers an invaluable and long-overdue service to the industry. Extensions are invariably the most expensive service that hair salons can offer to clients, so expectations run high. It's up to salons to deliver. I can use my knowledge and experience to help them.
